Provision and submission are meant to coexist…

by RP Ntema

Provision and submission are not mutually exclusive concepts; in fact, they can coexist harmoniously to create a balanced and fulfilling life. While provision involves meeting the physical, emotional, and material needs of oneself and others, submission entails willingly placing oneself in a position of service and support.

When a person embraces both provision and submission, they cultivate a mindset of humility and empathy. They understand that true fulfillment comes not just from personal success, but from using their resources and abilities to uplift those around them. They recognize that their role in providing extends beyond material possessions to include emotional support, guidance, and encouragement.

In practicing submission, one acknowledges that they are part of a larger community and willingly surrenders their ego for the greater good. They value collaboration over competition, understanding that collective growth and prosperity are achieved through cooperation and unity. By submitting to the needs of others, they foster a sense of interconnectedness and build strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

At the same time, provision plays a vital role in sustaining oneself and others. By fulfilling their responsibilities and obligations, a person creates a stable foundation from which they can offer support and assistance. Provision allows them to create opportunities, alleviate hardships, and empower others to pursue their own dreams and aspirations. When provision and submission coexist, individuals find a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their ability to make a positive impact on the lives of others. They understand that true strength lies not in dominance or control, but in the ability to selflessly contribute to the well-being of their community. By embodying both provision and submission, they become catalysts for positive change, creating a nurturing and compassionate environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Marriage is NOT an upgrade of a relationship.

by RP Ntema

Marriage and a relationship are not simply stages of progression or upgrades from one another; they follow distinct paths. The journey of a relationship typically begins with dating, during which two individuals explore their compatibility and decide whether they want to pursue a deeper commitment.

On the other hand, the path towards marriage involves additional steps. It starts with one partner expressing their intent to marry the other through a proposal. This pivotal moment carries a weight of anticipation and vulnerability, as the proposing partner takes the courageous step of offering a lifelong commitment. However, it is important to note that even within the context of a strong and passionate relationship that has lasted for many years, the process of marriage begins anew.

The proposal itself is a significant event that holds the potential for acceptance or rejection. It symbolizes the desire to solidify the bond and move forward together as a married couple. If the proposal is accepted, the couple enters into an engagement, a period of time dedicated to further planning and preparation for the upcoming wedding. This stage allows the couple to solidify their commitment and make the necessary arrangements to embark on their marital journey.

Finally, the wedding day arrives, marking the official union of the couple in marriage. It is a celebration of their love, witnessed by their loved ones, and signifies the beginning of their shared life together as spouses.

In summary, while a relationship and marriage may share elements of love, romance, and excitement, the path towards marriage includes specific milestones such as the proposal, engagement, and ultimately, the wedding. These steps signify a deeper level of commitment and a conscious decision to embark on the lifelong journey of marriage.
